April fools night at Club Strata in NYC and club organizers Rob and Jaclyn decided it would be a great idea to have Laura appear and take photos
The plan was to have Laura be escorted into the club with bodyguards and a fake entourage and to be rushed up to the VIP balcony room which over looks the whole club. As she was escorted in people were trying to get near to take photos.
As the night went on the DJ kept announcing that they have a special guest. Some people screamed "Mariah" others waited with anticipation as they didn't know what was about to happen.
Press and photographers as well as NYROCKSTV radio station was there to do interviews and a radio spoof as well.
Then it was time and the DJ announced that they had a special guest and they started to play "It's Like That" and from the balcony Laura lipsynched her hit and the crowd went crazy.
After the song the DJ pumped the crowd up and asked how their night is and then he announced that he would like thank Laura for performing Mariah's hit song..
He said "APRIL FOOLS" Its not Mariah folks, it's Connecticut's Own Mariah Lookalike and she does this professionally.The crowd thought it was great and after Laura took pics with club goers in the crowd. It was fun and everyone had a blast. !!
